Plagiarism Policy

Inovasi Masyarakat melalui Pengabdian dan Aksi Terapan is committed to ensuring that all published articles are original and free from plagiarism. Plagiarism in any form, including but not limited to copying text, ideas, data, or images from other sources without proper acknowledgment, is considered unethical and unacceptable.

All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate before the peer review process and/or prior to publication.

The journal applies the following similarity thresholds:

  1. The maximum acceptable similarity index is 25%, excluding references, quotations, and properly cited content.
  2. Manuscripts with a similarity index above the allowed threshold will be returned to the author(s) for revision or rejected, depending on the severity of the overlap.
  3. Any manuscript found to contain plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, or self-plagiarism will be rejected or retracted if already published.

Authors are required to submit a similarity report as a supplementary file at the time of submission.

Proper citation and acknowledgment of all sources used in the manuscript are mandatory. Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original and that all borrowed ideas, text, tables, and figures from other sources are clearly cited and referenced.

If plagiarism is detected at any stage of the publication process (before or after publication), the Editorial Board has the right to take appropriate action in accordance with the journal’s publication ethics and COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, including rejection, correction, or retraction of the article.
